Posted: Nov 11, 2015 12:17 PM PST

NAB’s Acquisition of Phoenix Payment Systems/Electronic Payment Systems (EPX) is a Finalist in the Financial Services Deal of the Year Category

Troy, Mich. (PRWEB) November 11, 2015
North American Bancard (NAB), an industry leader in credit card processing and provider of the PayAnywhere point-of-sale solution, is a finalist in the Financial Services Deal of the Year (from $10M To $100M) category of the M&A Advisor Awards. The M&A Advisor is an organization dedicated to recognizing and honoring excellence and achievements among the world’s leading professional dealmakers. NAB was selected as a finalist due to the 2014 acquisition of Phoenix Payment Systems, also known as Electronic Payment Exchange (EPX). The winners of the awards, which are selected annually in several categories by the M&A Advisor, will be presented in a gala event in New York City on November 17, 2015.
“It is quite an honor to be nominated for the Financial Services of the Year Award,” said Marc Gardner, founder, president and CEO of North American Bancard. “The acquisition of EPX (Phoenix Payment Systems) has allowed NAB to acquire the technology that continues the vertical integration of becoming a complete end-to-end processor. This nomination represents months of hard work by both the NAB and EPX teams, and recognition for that hard work is very meaningful to everyone in our organization.”

Job growth muted in September, but not for retail

October 02, 2015

While the overall picture of job growth in September is not as positive as expected, retailers added a much needed bright spot: The retail industry excluding autos, gas and restaurants, added 18,700 jobs in September and 213,700 new jobs since September of 2014.
“Today’s employment release comes as a disappointment for the broad economy, but not necessarily for retail as retailers have generated many new jobs for American households,” said NRF Chief Economist Jack Kleinhenz. “We’ve witnessed a very resilient economy thus far this year and retailers continue to gear up for future spending by consumers as we head into the all-important holiday season.”
“Retailers right now are in a wait-and-see mode when it comes to the bigger picture of economic growth, and are cautiously optimistic about continued improvements in consumer spending, which could come directly from improvements in the labor market,” Kleinhenz said.

Let's Hear from the Expert:

Let's Hear from the Expert:

From Top Agent Elena on how she signed as her client a merchant whose monthly processing is in the neighborhood of $1,000,000:

(From me): !! Elena, congratulations --- Mike and I haven't said anything because of not having talked to you first and getting your permission.  Is it alright if I mention your name on the blog?
In fact I would love it if you could write an article for the blog and send along a picture. If you are interested in doing that please let me know! So excited for you and your 7 level up line. They are not going to know what has hit them!!  Barb

(FROM ELENA):
Hi Barb,
I am just lucky to have landed a good merchant, and the timing couldn't have been better. The credit card fees were costing them a lot. When I mentioned DWP they were receptive. I am glad that I am helping them saved so much $$$ after switching to DWP.

My other agent/merchant Maria is also pleased about the savings and support service.

You can use my first name only and reference the above message.

Someone from my upper 7 level may want to buy me lunch 😊👋👍 when they get their residual check ... Hahaha

Best,
Elena

Elena 'mentioned DWP' and  they were receptive.

KEEP MENTIONING DWP -- there are LOTS of merchants out there today wishing  they could cut their processing fees and not knowing they can...with DWP!

There's a lot of talk about NFL quarterbacks having trouble if they don't use 'the system'. Each team has a system in place to ensure success on the football field.  Sometimes talented quarterbacks come in who are good at throwing, running, passing and yet they can't achieve the success that everybody thought that would have.

One reason for that I've heard over and over this past week is that the quarterback isn't trusting the system and is trying to do everything himself.

Guys, don't try to do everything yourself in DWP. There's a great system in place and it works!  Just ask Elena:   She mentioned DWP to a merchant who was receptive and then Elena got support@digitalworldpay.com  involved and the rest is success history!

8 Notes

GREAT NEWS:

From the Inbox --

Digital World Founder John Daniels called me last nite to give me an update for each of u from a leverage standpoint.

If u just go recruit a few agents AND a few merchants, u will eventually have the same experience 7 levels of agents will enjoy when residual is paid later this month.

One of you signed a merchant that went active 10/1/15 and their credit card volume for their first month was OVER $720,000 and is expected to exceed $ONE MILLION this month!

Some of u reading this will hear the commission triggered from this case because it is on a level to 7 other agents, plus the signing Agent's personal level.

Just get eligible to enjoy what will happen!

NOT IF---BUT WHEN. -- Mike
*************

NOTE --  DWP is saving the merchant above over $100,000 annually on processing fees.

*************

NOTE 2 -- John will outline the breakdown of what this means to the 8 agents in this merchant line, and what it means to you, on a call later:  stay tuned to your interface and don't miss it.

************

NOTE 3 -- Great stuff coming to your interface from David and your interface gurus!!  Shortly...

************
NOTE 5 --
Displaying
Deployed with every EMV-ready terminal, these useful POP display decals measure 3” x 4” and are designed to fit on a wide variety of countertop spaces. Printed on the same high-quality material as our overlays, this simple EMV instructional guide will withstand the test of time! We’re always thinking of new ways to help out our merchant partners and putting these decals in their hands will help spread the EMV word and encourage customers to “dip the chip.”

************

NOTE 6 --  Learned super-interesting factoids about risk and fraud on the webinar yesterday.  Notably, you as the agent are the first line of defense against fraud.  If a merchant strikes you as questionable (particularly online or MOTO), walk away!  Or contact EPI's Risk Manager James Kay.  james.kay@electronicpayments.com   James said  cc and debit card fraud rose from $3 billion in 2001 to over $10 billion 2014.

*************

NOTE 7 --   Mike spoke to our newest merchant today -- he turned on his terminal on the 1st and says he is lovin' it!  Thanks, EPI!

*************

AND, NOTE  8 --
Are you sharing our fantastic videos yet? If not, you should be. It's easy!!

All you have to do is show them the video then get them signed up. If you're not able to sit with them, you can direct them to dwpsignup.com and give them your agent code and pin and they can sign up right on our site!

Of course, if you have questions, you are always free to speak to our great customer support at 888.282.2118, who will help answer any questions. Our office hours are Monday through Thursday 8am to 6pm CST and Friday from 8am to 4pm CST.

More info:

» How many small businesses are there in the United States?

29 million – There were almost 29 million federal income tax returns filed in 2004 with business income on them. (Source: Statistics of Income (SOI), Internal Revenue Service.)  Due to tax filing requirements, that number includes both individuals and businesses.  The very largest and the very smallest, including those with sales of just a few dollars, are counted.

Ninety-nine (99) percent of employing businesses are “small” under prevailing definitions.  (Source: calculations by NFIB Research Foundation from data published by the Office of Advocacy, U.S. Small Business Administration.)

Q:  which should you approach?  One big merchant  or several small ones?

A:  which is easier to find?
