Top 7 Credit Card Offers For Those With Excellent Credit

UPDATED: April 1, 2015
Do you have excellent credit?  If so, banks are actively looking to win you as a new credit card customer by offering some unprecedented deals.  Although banks have been more careful about acquiring customers with questionable credit since the 2008 Financial Crisis, they are now fighting harder than ever to win coveted customers with great credit. If you are in the excellent credit sweet spot, they are effectively giving you money (and a lot of it) to use their credit cards. These are the top 7 deals you can take advantage of today:
Blue Cash Preferred Card from American Express: Blue Cash Preferred Card from American Express (a NextAdvisor advertiser) is such a great cash back card that I have one. Cardholders earn a spectacular 6% cash back at supermarkets (on up to $6K in purchases annually), 3% on gas and at department stores like JCP, Kohl's and Macy's, and 1% on everything else. Plus you'll get a $150 intro bonus after spending $1,000 on purchases with your new Card in the first three months – that's a 15% cash back bonus on the first $1,000 you spend! In addition you'll enjoy a 0% 15-month intro APR on purchases and balance transfers.

EMV Transition Falling Behind:GROW YOUR BIZ

EMV Transition Lagging, Survey Says (Source: AmEx)

 emv-transition-lagging-survey-says.jpg

A new American Express® survey reveals that more than a third of U.S. small businesses have not yet upgraded their point-of-sale systems to be EMV® capable, even though they say protecting their operations from the threat of payment card fraud is a major concern.
The American Express EMV Preparedness Survey, conducted last October and released in late February, reports that 67 percent of small business owners surveyed indicated that protecting against and preventing card fraud is very important to running their businesses.
More than half (52 percent) felt that they are at higher risk for payment card fraud than larger businesses, but almost as many said a lack of money to invest in fraud prevention or a lack of access to experts who can assist them as the biggest reasons why they are not yet EMV compliant.
Even with an apparent understanding of the risks they face, 37 percent of the surveyed small merchants said they either have not decided whether to upgrade their payment terminals or do not plan to do so. Fifty-seven percent gave the cost of obtaining EMV-capable terminals as the main reason for their decision.

“Fraud is a growing problem and the move to EMV is an important step towards stemming payment card fraud in the U.S.,” said AnrĂ© Williams, President, Global Merchant Services, American Express, in a prepared statement. “Unfortunately, many small merchants do not know about EMV or what they need to do to take advantage of it.”

EMV smartcard technology is already in use worldwide. It enhances the security of payment transactions by storing encrypted data on a microchip embedded in a payment card and by authenticating each transaction. Retail point-of-sale systems must be equipped with the technology required to read and communicate with the chip.

“We know from speaking with our smallest merchants that they are very busy wearing the many hats of a small business owner and running their day-to-day business to focus on how to most effectively fight fraud,” notes the American Express website.

Effective October 1, 2015, liability for certain types of fraudulent transactions will transfer away from the party that has the most secure form of chip card technology. In other words, if a fraudulent transaction occurs at a business that was not EMV capable, that business will be held liable.

If your business is not yet able to process EMV transactions, now’s the time for action. By planning ahead and anticipating the October liability shift, you can help protect both your livelihood and your customers from payment card fraud and its financial fallout. Get started by talking to a Digital World Pay Agent to learn about your options.

(Agents:  feel free to copy and paste the above to get out to your local merchants.)

NOTE:  DWP Agents Lety Rodriguez and Francisca Martinez will be conducting information calls M-Th evenings (dial in instructions at right of screen) and NEW!  Fridays will be a TRAINING CALL for Agents!  Spanish Language.  Guests encouraged!

****************

Also, AGENTS TAKE NOTE:  NON-US CITIZEN MERCHANTS

If you have a merchant who does not have a SSN but has an EIN/TIN (SS-4) they can apply for merchant services through NAB and soon Pivotal. EPI will not accept merchant accounts for merchants without a SSN.  (Source: dwpinterface)

Global headlines -- this from UK's Guardian website -- reflect how intertwined the world's economies are.  And yet, HERE WE ARE!

Shock as US economy grows just 0.2% - business live

Growing a large and successful Digital World Pay business around the world means the creation of many, many successful people -- hundreds and thousands ultimately. We know from prior experience that when people make a lot of money from an endeavor like this, they find new developments, new enterprises, new businesses to build and grow themselves, creating ever more and wider employment opportunities for others.

That element is  lacking in the world today -- you have to be an MIT graduate and a computer whiz or financial expert in order to capture the big bucks.  But what can ordinary people do? The income gap has been starlingly widening the past few years.

With a company like  DWP, that gap can be bridged for  many thousands of people in many countries. So get aggressive today: build your business,  help  some merchants  and help some agents get their start!

MG is Mind-boggling!

Via text from Mike:

Barb and I r heading to SFO in couple hours for our trip to Nicosia, Cyprus. Will return on 28th. We will not have cell or text service but email will work.

Here in Bay Area, Talking bout 3" rain, 60 to 80 mph winds, massive power shortages, floods and 3' snow in Sierras--      All beginning tonite.

Had great mtg last nite with Marlyn Ano and some of her Team. She took us to eat at a delish Filippino restaurant, 'TasteBuds' on San Carlos just east  of El Camino.

Food was superb and Marlyn talked to owners bout their processing fees. They AVERAGE $7,000 MINIMUM DAILY credit card billing. Unbelievable when u see this building--  very small, unassuming place.  Folks, give every your brochure and card:  we are continually amazed at the volume of billing that passes through the least impressive places!  Plus, They are so excited to have Marlyn save them money.

Wish each of U Merry Xmas and Happy Holidays.

MG is mind-boggling!

We have, let's see, less than 100 MG Agents WORLDWIDE, representing 2 top processors that process BILLIONS annually, on the precipice of global processing and did I mention.....
WE HAVE LESS THAN 100 AGENTS WORLDWIDE???

Guys, yes contact those merchants, but be aware that our mission needs HUNDREDS more active Agents so share your biz with others, too!

Reminder:  Some great features of the PayAnywhere product:

  1. Next day funding
  2. No contract
  3. Free wireless terminal and 2 swipers
  4. AmEx same as V/MC, etc.
  5. Full software for running business
  6. No need to get statement from merchant
  7. Simple online signup
Reminder:  why EPI product is best for many merchants:

  1. Next day funding
  2. No contract
  3. $500 best rate guarantee
  4. BEST RATES,  NO HIDDEN 'GOTCHAS' WHATSOEVER!
  5. Live, in US, tech support EVERY DAY EVERY HOUR!
  6. Amex One Point rate
  7. AND MUCH MORE
Regarding #4 above, we saw a statement sent through last week and the analysis showed that the merchant had an excellent rate, very competitive.  Surprisingly so. Hmmmm, where's the rat?

John found it:  merchant had been also signed up for a 4 year least on his terminal (the one we give for FREE) for $40/month, 4 years.

I'll try to find the tv news expose here in Bay Area that Dave Margolati saw recently about this very thing:  unaware merchants being signed to unbreakable leases on equipment which is really a scam!

Let your merchants know that MG doesn't do things like this:  best service, best rates.  That's what we stand for!

Happy November

Subject: Meeting flyer for this week

Hi!
Here is the flyer for the San Diego meetings this week…..and we are back on a full schedule.
Everything is happening……got an email last night from Ken and Kathy O. from Branson, MO, saying they had just sponsored Scott D.
That, my friends, is what this business is all about….nice people who listen, reach out, and do it all!  I am so proud of them!
Great day….I just picked up a merchant statement from a restaurant doing $64,000 a month in credit card receipts!
This was the fourth time I have called on them…..started with the manager who got excited about the ProCharge units for home delivery.
Then the gift cards got the owner excited, and the rest is almost history.
This is a business of gentle reminders, and building friendships.
Brooke Eldridge is signing his first health club tomorrow….I believe this will be his fifth merchant.
Success everywhere….get some for yourself!
Let me help…..just call!
All the best,
Rick

Second up is from The Amazing Avita at MG HQ in Indiana... you have probably already read it, but it's worth a re-read!

Happy November,

Hope you are all staying warm. It snowed in Indiana on Friday! Hoping the weather gets a little nicer over here.

I am planning on doing a similar Q & A meeting similar to the one I previously did; either on Wednesday afternoon or Thursday morning, whichever works best for the people who want to attend. If you were unable to attend the last meeting and would like to join in on this one please let me know what day/time would work best for you by replying to this email.

EPI and Merchant Guard wanted to make all agents aware that if they have a potential merchant or agent please have them contact you direct for sign ups. Electronic Payments will not do them in house.

Check out Agent Presentations. We have added some great tools!

If you have not gone out and spoken with any potential merchants or agents make this week your week to do so! We want to get merchants up and running before the holidays! You also want to make your peers knowledgeable about this great opportunity. Do you know someone that needs extra cash for the holidays? Merchant Guard would be perfect for them!

You want statements and new agents! If you have set up some new agents in October get with them this week; be their mentor, help them succeed in this business.

If you are having trouble getting merchant accounts, you can go in and offer them merchant financing.  Retail business may need to stock their shelves for the holidays or other business might just need the money because of a rough time or maybe even for a remodel for the new year! Why not offer them the capital to do so! We are one of the only companies that works direct with AMEX to give any merchant who has been processing for 2 years over $10,000 a month a low factor rate for a line of credit! Here is a little script we have used in the past. I have also attached some marketing on this. If you would like the training brochure for AMEX Financing please let me know.
