Notes from Rob Freytag regarding Clover:  (print and keep handy!)

  • 1. Clover issues software updates regularly, unlike other POS systems.
  • 2. First Data bought Clover a while back for $40 million.
  •     2a.  First Data is the largest company of its kind in the US -- 60% of all biz runs thru it
  •     2b.  Clover is now valued at over $200  million with 60,000 merchants using it
  • 3.  First Data has invested Millions in Clover and presently has 100 software engineers in Silicon Valley working on Clover with new app updates being issued each week
  • 4.  your Clover system can even take a check in payment  (thru Telecheck) --  in addition to cash and debit and credit and other cards.
  • 5.  the Clover Go device is a mobile reader which has EMV -- it is $40 for the device and it syncs with a merchant's  Clover account
  • 6.  the Clover mobile weighs 1 pound and is very handy for pay-at-the-table in restaurants
  • 7. there are an incredible number of marketing programs which Clover can be used for. For example one app enables a merchant to print coupons directly on the receipts -- these coupons can be read by Clover's scanner when the customer comes back in... that app is a mere $4 a month and can be an  extremely lucrative service!
  • 8.  if a merchant does not want to use the cloud services,  Clover can be used strictly as a terminal for No Charge monthly --  the pro version has cloud base and is $30 a month. Trans Armor is Clover's  data breach insurance and encrypts every transaction and tokenizes it and that's included in monthly service fee.
  • 9.  20% of all Starbucks transactions are mobile transactions and are covered by Trans Armor
  • 10.  the cost for Clover placement if the merchant does not want to buy the equipment outright is $99 a month for 24 months which  includes a full Clover station bundle  also includes $30 for the cloud fee which means the the monthly payment on equipment is  $70 for 24 months
  • 11.  the $29 a month plan includes remote access,  24 7 tech support,  all upgrades weekly and monthly,  data storage unlimited  of all the merchants data,  breach protection from Trans Armor and everything else that applies
  • 12.  there's also a $20  app that pays your  taxes each month for the merchant --   state sales  taxes  etc. and that's very convenient and a big savings over paying a CPA to do it!.
  • Clover is an incredible system for Merchants.... Rob encourages anyone who can and who is serious about the business to invest in a Clover mini for themselves so that they can take that with them on calls  to Merchants--  when a  merchant can get his hands on the unit and see a demo,   you have a sale!
We're SOLD!  Now all we need to do is go out and start a restaurant!

Just so you know --- it's all the things Digital World IS NOT!

****************
Digital World Agents generate income for themselves by saving merchants on their monthly expenses AND by giving merchants access to valuable services they can't get/can't afford anywhere else (see 'Clover notes' above)!

You can buy your life back (e.g. quit your job) with just ONE merchant with DW because an elaborate  recruiting scheme  is not part of the DW comp plan.  The focus, mission and ultimate goal is MERCHANTS!

So how's that working out for DW Agents?

One new Agent signed a million-dollar merchant in her first 3 months.
A second new Agent is in the process of signing a casino right now -- we were on a conference call with Oracle rep, casino execs and IT, DW and other relevant parties yesterday.
A third Agent has  $30 million/month  in the hopper. (No, we can't' believe it either.)
Several have $50-$100,000/month merchants.
Many more have smaller merchants but helping a smaller merchant feels just as good as helping a larger one -- it just doesn't sound as flashy.
We see Agents enjoying  merchant success each week.

DW constantly brings new merchant incentives to us to share with merchants and make our mission easier!

For example, how about offering a merchant a Discovery Call with experts who can help that merchant recoup thousands of dollars (and more in many cases) annually?  ... with one very small by-product available to them looking like this:

• Unlimited FREE TeleConsults (phone or smart phone) with MD

• Unlimited access to speak with a Nurse FREE – 24/7

• Doctor Visits – (Guarantees at last 20% Savings)

• Surgical Center Visits - (Savings up to 60%)

• Lab Testing – (Savings up to $300)

• Imaging Studies – (Potential Savings of $750, or more)

• Medical Bill Advocacy – (Avg. Savings of $3,000)

• Dental Treatment (Avg. Savings: 15% to 50%)

• Prescriptions (Mail order & local pick up) (Avg. Savings: 10%- 85%)

• Diabetic Supplies – (Retail Packages 60% Off)

New to DW and wondering what the DW business is??

Well, we are a team of independent Agents who connect with merchants all across the US and Canada for the purpose of saving each merchant  on his monthly card processing costs.

We upload  merchant processing statements to DW's cost-analysis experts for a FREE cost analysis and recommended savings plan for each merchant.  Like this:

There are as many different plans as there are merchant needs:  Agents don't have to make the decisions however -- the DW Processing Experts do that!

And we get paid!!

NOTE FROM EPI:  PAX S80 has a much quicker download time and supports a full 85’ paper roll compared to the Vx520 60’ roll.

Also unlike the Vx520, the PAX S80 has full support for Tip Adjust on EMV.(Tell that to your restaurant or nail salon owner.)

Therefore
the PAX S80 is now the free terminal offered by EPI -- not the VX520.

GET THIS WORD OUT TO YOUR MERCHANTS!!

The clock is ticking for businesses in the United States that accept card payments - by the end of this month, these merchants must have point of sale (POS) terminals compatible with the new chip-based card technology being rolled out (commonly referred to as EMV). Failure to do so can end up costing business owners greatly, as the cost of fraud is shifted away from banks and onto them. Despite this, most small and midsize business (SMB) owners are not ready, or not planning on upgrading their readers. The reason behind this pushback can be attributed to two major causes.

We surveyed some of the most readily available card readers to merchants, through online providers, and found that the average cost of a card reader that supports signatures to be $556, while the non-signature counterparts cost just $206.
The other seldom spoken about cost of EMV is the time lost on upgrading/training. Before they can be put to use, these new POS will need to be linked up with existing computer systems (if any), and installed. After that is done, all register attendants will need to be shown how to use and troubleshoot these readers, so they can show customers the "new way of paying". The larger the business, and the more employees these business owners have working POS terminals, the larger the time cost will become.

Nearly 1 in 4 SMB Owners Think EMV Is Unnecessary. A recent study put out by Justin Guinn, a Market Research Associate with Software Advice, found that 23% of businesses they surveyed consider EMV terminals to be unnecessary. Furthermore, 10% haven't even heard about this new technology before. This study was not the only one to demonstrate the lack of readiness on the part of US businesses. Just last month, Wells Fargo reported that only 49% of business owners are aware of the upcoming liability shift.
 ***************

EVEN IF THE MERCHANT DOESN'T 'RESPECT EMV',
he must surely respect the new payment options like Apple Pay and Google Wallet.  They are wrapped up in the FREE emv terminal you can provide him!   Just let him know.

FROM THE INBOX:

Think about what U do to earn

$125 NET IN YOUR DAY JOB.

We had new Agent join last December and she had not done anything or sponsored anyone - as agent or merchant.

Two weeks ago, she casually mentioned to a biz owner about EMV.

He did his own research and decided to buy a new terminal from this sleeping agent.

When he discovered he could get a FREE terminal PLUS 20% monthly commission, he went to her website, signed as agent and enrolled himself as his own customer.

Sleeping agent made $125.00 so it helps to open your mouth -at least once every 9 months.

And merchant still does not believe he will make $50.00 for enrolling himself as his own merchant.

Your dwpinterface is chock-full of tools so I have pulled out some must-have info above.

Have you ever water-skiied?  There are really only 2 things you need to focus on:
  1. your hands on the rope and
  2. your ski (board) under you.
The boat does the rest.

That's how I see this DWP biz:
  1. share the biz when appropriate and
  2. contact a few merchants with what we can do for them.
Using one of the tools above -- as well as webinars, calls, events, whatever is available.

And let the boat (support@digitalworldpay.com) do the rest!

Second Most Persuasive Word in English  (and I'm guessing any language):

2. Free

Everybody loves free.

People love free stuff so much they’ll actually make different choices, even when the respective value of the item or service remains the same.

Dan Ariely revealed this startling fact in his book Predictably Irrational, where he examined a very unusual “battle” between Lindt chocolate truffles and Hershey Kisses.

To test the power of the word “free” in relation to concrete value, the study first asked people to choose between a 1 cent Hershey Kiss or a 15 cent Lindt truffle (about half its actual value, generally considered a richer, superior chocolate).

The results were as follows:

In other words, tastes were found to be very much in favor for the truffle. I mean, who’s going to pass up a deal, right?

Later though, another random group of subjects seemingly flipped on their opinion of these two treats. Ariely revealed that when the price was reduced by one cent for both brands (meaning the Kiss was now free), people altered their choices drastically.

With the new prices, here were the results:

Although in the first test it appears we simply can’t pass up a deal, as it turns out, we really can’t pass up a steal. Although the relation in prices remained the same (a 14 cent difference between the two), people chose the Kiss far more often when it was free.

Ariely points to loss aversion (our disdain for losing out on things) and our natural instinct to go after “low hanging fruit” as the reasons why we are so susceptible to snatching up free stuff.
