SUCCESS SECRET: PERSISTENCE
Here are some things we know:
- Digital World is a great choice for merchants. We have helped hundreds of merchants reduce their processing fees.
- We can also reduce, recapture and recover other expenses that they are spending and increase the profit to their bottom line.
- There are agents with Digital World who are making thousands of dollars in residual each month: they signed 1 or 2 or 3 Merchants that they were fortunate enough to bump into.
- There are hundreds of other agents making hundreds of dollars a month in residual from a few small Merchant accounts that they or their team helped.
So we know that we have a
great product that helps Merchants. We know that we get paid when we do
that, both in fast start and on a residual basis. We also know that with cost remediation we have
access to very large one time bonuses. So the question is -- what have you
done lately?
Chances are you have one problem..... You are not
persistent. I know I'm not persistent and I'm pretty average.
Here are some people today to encourage us -- successful stories from
people who were persistent. Just think how your life can change if you
begin to be persistent in going after what you want, whether it's new
merchant accounts, whether it's new team members, or whatever it might be in
your life: let's be inspired from these stories!
Bethany Hamilton- At the age of 13, Bethany Hamilton, a young surfer from Hawaii, lost her entire left arm and almost her life after being attacked by a shark. But she didn’t let that stop her from her dream. Two years later, she went on to win the Women’s Division NSSA National Championship. Her story of persistence inspired the movie Soul Surfer.
Sidney Poitier- Born to parents of Bahamian descent in Miami, Poitier moved back to the Bahamas and dropped out of school at the age of 12 to help his parents financially. Believing his prospects would be better in the States, he came back and joined the army for sustenance. He later faked an illness to get out of the army and auditioned for Harlem’s American Negro Theater, but was ridiculed for his Caribbean accent and poor reading skills. Poitier persisted and spent time working on his accent. He went back to the A.N.T and offered to work as an unpaid janitor in exchange for classes. He later went on to break barriers for black actors and win an Academy Award.
James Dyson.
James Dyson became famous with his invention of the bagless vacuum cleaner. However this did not just happen overnight or without problems. It took 5127 prototypes before he perfected his product. He almost went bankrupt on several occasions and none of the leading manufactors of vacuum cleaners would make the product so he set up his own manufacturing company. As a result he has become the world’s first billionaire inventor.
Walt Disney
If you are not familiar with James Dyson’s vacuum cleaner you will certainly be aware of the success achieved by Walt Disney. Although he had one failing business venture after another in his lifetime, Walt Disney never gave up hope that his dreams would one day be realized. Bankruptcy and rejections from countless banks throughout the years did not stop Walt from persisting with, and finally achieving, his dreams.
John Creasey
John was a prolific English crime writer. He went on to write 550 books. However this was not before he was rejected by publishers 753 times. John obviously knew what he wanted and kept going until he achieved it.
Thomas Edison
Perhaps the most famous and often quoted example of persistence. Depending on the sources you read Edison failed 1,000 or even 10,000 times when trying to invent the light bulb. Even if we take the lower figure we have another amazing example of persistence. When asked about his failures Edison replied that “I have failed 1,000 times. I have successful discovered a 1,000 ways of how not to make a light bulb."
If we will all learn persistence in this way we will transform the level of success we achieve in our lives!
